Rhotic. Its most audible feature is what happens to TH: it becomes a stop, but a DENTAL one, with the tongue against the teeth rather than the ridge -- which is why 'thin' and 'tin' stay different words here, unlike in the varieties where TH-stopping produces a plain [t]. TRAP and BATH are the same vowel; FACE and GOAT are long monophthongs; MOUTH is fronted to [æʊ] and PRICE backed. Intervocalic /t/ is often a slit fricative rather than either a tap or a stop, which this matrix approximates with flapping rather than inventing a field for a sound only one variety uses.
